We all have our screw ups. Anything can change. That's what I do. I help you become the most free version of yourself. My approach is incredibly effective, requiring only 2-3 sessions, whatever your issue. I can see clients for all sorts of reasons. Usually on first contact, a potential client will ask "can you help me with...". I have yet to find a situation where I have said no.
A course of therapy is typically 2-3 sessions. Most of the work is done in the first session (which generally lasts around an hour but they are not timed)
The second session happens 2 weeks later and is a critical catch up session to review the previous 2 weeks. It is typically shorter, taking around half an hour. This may be a surprise for some but my process is solution focussed. It's not really a talking therapy. We will review evidence of change over the last 2 weeks. I will give you new tasks to help you consciously focus on your journey. I am not good enough to change your life so much that after 2 weeks we'll know what else to work on!
The third session, if needed, happens at least 4 weeks after the second. About 60% of my clients need only 2 sessions.
A single session in Dundee or online costs £80 or I have a special offer where, if you pay upfront at your first session, you get 3 sessions for the price of 2, so £160** for a full course of therapy (up to 3 sessions) if you pay upfront
**Prices are in GBP (British Pounds). International clients will be invoiced through Paypal and that will handle the conversion rates
I don't need to know your child's whole life story. I don't need them to have insight into where their problems come from. I am a problem solver. I am going to be working with my knowledge of neuroscience and the issues they tell be they are struggling with, to find the thing that is switching off their brain. I am then going to be working with them during the session to reprogramme their brain. I need them to interact with me but I don't need them to be particularly vocal or insightful.
The trickiest part of this process is the bit between sessions. You might find you notice more changes than your child does. Feel free to let me know when this is the case!

I have a Masters in Psychology and trained as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist at the Quest Institute (Check out the research here that shows Cognitive Hypnotherapy effectiveness is greater for the treatment of anxiety and depression than other talk therapies such as CBT used within the NHS (71% compared to 42%): Reseach on Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy).
I do not use a single approach. I am mainly a problem solver. I deal with what you tell me, and guide you to make the changes necessary so you are free to be whoever you want to be, without needing to come and see me constantly to stay on track. During the session you will be fully engaged and actively involved in reprogramming your brain. I don't believe we can think our way past our problems. The cognitive, thinking part of your brain is only engaged for at most 10% of the time. So I work with the automatic and reactionary part - the subconscious. That's why you need me. I guide you to change you.
